We outsource all of our warehousing and decoration work to our partner business and below is our Print and Warehouse Environmental Policy.
General
- Electric usage, kept to a minimum and monitored, low usage LED lighting has been installed through many areas of the business so far.
- Natural skylights in place to minimise electric light usage. Energy reducing technology used on machinery. to minimise usage, e.g compressor systems with auto start/stop to only run when required pressure is needed.
- Waste disposal kept to minimum using recycling practices where possible such as card waste, toners etc.
- Promotion of staff using car shares and electric vehicles offering workplace charge points.
- Applying disposal charges on customers to encourage reduction in unnecessary waste.
- Where at all possible electronic systems are used for document storage to avoid paper use.
- Supplies and consumables are purchased with a Eco friendly policy in mind over and above cost where appropriate.
Print Activities
- All print inks are EU grade and comply under REACH and ECHA, majority of pad print inks used are Marabu inks and are toy and medical grade safety.
- Waste ink disposal is minimised and managed through lean usage policy to reduce consumption.
- Waste is collected and processed under legal requirements and certified through a collecting agent.
- Any custom packaging is printed using recycled card.
Warehousing & Despatch
- All card waste is recycled and collected.
- All card and packaging purchased in is recycled board.
- Packing bags or box filler has to be recyclable or eco friendly biodegradable.
- All pallets are recycled and reused.
Softgoods Embroidery and Branding Processes
- Sublimation: All of the TexPrint papers are 100% recyclable.
- The inks cartridges are recycled through our toner/cartridge recycling process/supplier.
- Embroidery: Threads are 100% viscose: Viscose fabric is a plant-based textile made from regenerated cellulose. Cellulose is a naturally occurring compound which helps to give plants structure.Madeira supply us an eco-friendly backing : E-ZEE Green Cut is our new eco-friendly embroidery backing made from 100% recycled polyester (rPES). It is an excellent solution for the eco-conscious embroiderer and another step towards fully sustainable embroidery.
- Heat Transfers: We use Water based Transfers, the longest lasting eco-friendly Heat Transfers available.
Proactive Offset
- Actively promoting green areas and planting trees on business premises, over 1,000 trees planted within last 2-3 years alongside a re-wilding project.
